In the summer of 2017, Janet mentioned to her husband Steve that she would love to own and operate their own edible cookie dough shop! It was a matter of weeks before the ball started rolling and they received their business license - and that's how the KNOX DOUGH journey began.
Janet and Steve invested $200 and got to work!
They began with a mobile food truck in the hopes of moving to a brick and mortar store. The next big step was to create recipes for cookie dough without eggs and with a heat-treated flour to keep the dough delicious and safe to eat! This was the fun part!
After two years in a mobile food truck, they opened up their first store in 2018 in Knoxville!
Since then they have met so many wonderful people and have expanded their menu!
Knox Dough now offers rolled ice cream infused with cookie dough (a top seller), shakes, floats, shave ice and pizza cones!
Now you can cure your sweet tooth from one of their two mobile food units or their store located in, you guessed it, Knoxville!
